Monday, February 25, 2013

A Delaware County man who was about to stand trial for robbery and murder has instead pleaded guilty.

21-year-old Saleem Williams admitted Monday that he shot and killed 23-year-old Selvin Lopez Maurico.

It happened back in September, 2011 in Phoenixville.

Prosecutors say Lopez Maurico had just finished working a shift at Wendy's when he was robbed near his home.

Williams will spend between 40 and 80 years in prison.
