Port Richmond sound studio shooting leaves man critical

Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting in Port Richmond that has left a man critically injured Saturday morning.

Police and medics were called out to a large commercial building in the 2100 block of East Tioga Street around 5:00 a.m. where they discovered a 24-year-old man shot in the head and neck.

Police say the man may have been ambushed while working in a sound studio used by local artist.

He was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital where he is listed in extremely critical condition.

Five people have been taken into custody for questioning.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Officials say the building houses a paper supply company and an after-hours club in addition to the elaborate sound studio.
