Car crashes into restaurant in Mercer County, NJ

An 81-year-old woman lost control of her car and slammed into a restaurant in Mercer County.

It happened Monday at 11:22 a.m.

Police say the woman, from Trenton, was driving a Chrysler when the car jumped the curb and smashed into Mamma Flora's Trattoria in the shopping center at 1750 North Olden Avenue in Ewing.

A 47-year-old man who was working inside was hit in the arm by flying debris.

He refused medical treatment.

The driver was not injured.

It was not immediately clear what caused her to lose control.

Building inspectors were on the scene checking for structural damage.
