SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. (AP) - March 17, 2013 (WPVI) -- A Pennsylvania trucker is dead after a crash on Route 26 in the Oneida County town of Sylvan Beach.
State police say 49-year-old Darren McCullum of Philadelphia was driving a 2010 Freightliner with a full trailer southbound around 1:30 p.m. Friday when he lost control of the truck and slid into the northbound lane and off the road.
The truck hit the guardrail and a culvert and spun around, coming to rest facing north in the southbound lane.
Police say McCullum was found dead by emergency personnel. He was the only one in the vehicle.
