Phila. police pull over Norristown armed robbery suspects

Philadelphia police on routine patrol came across a vehicle wanted in connection with an overnight shooting and robbery in Montgomery County.

The robbery took place around 1:20 a.m. in front of the American Best Value Inn located at 830 West Main Street in Norristown

Police say a man was approached by three people and robbed.

During the robbery, one of the suspects fired a shotgun which grazed the victim's head. All three suspects then fled in a green VW Jetta.

Montgomery County authorities notified Philadelphia police and shortly after 6:30 a.m., two detectives on patrol came across the suspected vehicle on Lincoln Drive.

The suspects were pulled over and taken into custody.
