Motorcyclist critically injured in Upper Darby, Pa.

A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident in Delaware County.

It happened at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at Marshall Road and Kent Street in Upper Darby.

Upper Darby Police say the man riding the motorcycle lost control, causing the bike to hit a utility pole and slam into a tree.

Medics rushed the man to an area hospital in critical condition.

There was no immediate word what caused the man to lose control.

An investigation is underway.
