Truck fire on I-295 in New Castle
NEW CASTLE, Del. - July 26, 2013 (WPVI) -- A tractor trailer was destroyed by fire on Interstate 295 in New Castle, Delaware on Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 3:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway at the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
One lane was allowed to get by as firefighters were on the scene.
The driver jumped out of the cab and wasn't injured.
The truck, owned by Storewide Delivery Company based in Secaucus, New Jersey, was hauling cotton.
