Woman injured in 3-car crash on City Avenue, near 6abc studios

PHILADELPHIA - August 3, 2013 (WPVI) -- A woman was injured in a 3-car crash on City Avenue in the city's Wynnefield Heights section early Saturday morning, police say.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. at City Avenue and Monument Road.

Police told Action News that a woman driving a station wagon lost control of her vehicle and struck two other vehicles before rolling her car.

The impact of the crash caused the woman's car to catch fire and burn on the sidewalk outside of WPVI-TV.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Roxborough Hospital. There is no word on her condition.

Police are investigating the crash.
