Coroner called to scene after car plunges into river in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - August 8, 2013 (WPVI) -- The Lehigh County coroner was been called to a crash that sent a car into a river.
The accident happened after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday along Martin Luther King Boulevard and Lehigh Parkway East in Allentown.
Police on scene say a car drove off an embankment, hit a tree, and plunged into the water.
There were initial reports that people were trapped inside.
Again, a coroner has been called to the scene, but there is no official word yet on fatalities.
