Wrong-way crash on I-76 kills 2, victims ID'd

State police say a wrong-way crash on an interstate near Philadelphia has claimed the lives of two drivers.

Police said a car heading east in the westbound lanes of I-76 in Montgomery County's Lower Merion Township ran head-on into another car just after 6:00 a.m. Saturday.

Police said 25-year-old Christan Trueblood of Upper Darby was pronounced dead at the scene. They said 35-year-old Jamaal Moss of Richmond, Va., died on the way to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Drivers of two trucks and also a passengers weren't seriously injured.

The interstate, called the Schuylkill Expressway in that area, was closed in both directions but was reopened within a few hours.

The crash remains under investigation, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to come forward.
