NEW CASTLE - September 26, 2013 (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are investigating an accident in New Castle that left a man critically hurt.
It happened just before 9:00 p.m. Thursday on Route 13 near Schoolhouse Lane.
Police say a man, about 30 years old, was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of Route 13.
The vehicle stopped at the scene.
The man was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
The accident caused the closure of Route 13.
