Man, 70, brutally attacked in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. - September 30, 2013 (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware are investigating a brutal attack on a 70-year-old man.

It happened Friday night on Honeysuckle Drive in the Spring Mill development in Newark.

The victim is 70 year old Hadir Jafri.

His wife, Shahida, explains what happened.

"Three people came behind him and just attacked him, never said anything, never asked for a wallet or anything," she said.

Jafri was rushed to Christiana Hospital where his wife tells action news he is being treated for a broken hip and jaw and other injuries.

Police are looking at surveillance video and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the attack to call them immediately.
