3 more in custody after killing of Rite Aid manager in Chester
CHESTER, Pa. - October 2, 2013 (WPVI) -- Chester Police, County detectives and Philadelphia Police have arrested three more people following the murder of a Rite Aid manager.
The Action Cam was there as police executed a warrant in the 3000 block of Wharton Street in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia.
23-year-old Tariq Mahmud, a loss prevention officer at the Chester Rite Aid, was taken into custody, along with a neighbor on Wharton Street, 23-year-old Christopher Parks.
19-year-old Ashaniere White was arrested at her home in the 1700 block of S. 32nd Street.
All three were transported to the Chester Police Department where they are being charged with, Second and Third degree Murder, Robbery, and Conspiracy offenses.
David Wiggins, 24, and Rita Pultro, 23, were previously charged in the case and are scheduled for a preliminary hearing later this month.
They face first, second and third degree homicide charges and related offenses.
The victim, 40-year-old Jason McClay of Broomall, was gunned down at the Rite Aid store at 9th and Highland streets back on September 19th during an attempted robbery.
Authorities say an investigation into this case continues.
