Suspect arrested in sex assault on 12-year-old boy in Camden

Camden County police have arrested the suspect who they say sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy.

22-year-old Levandus Gacutan of Lindenwold was taken into Camden County Police custody Saturday night.

Gacutan is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, 1st degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 3rd degree; and Prostitution Involving a Minor, 3rd degree.

It happened between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. Friday night near the corner of Westfield Avenue and Church Street in East Camden.

The boy was not injured.

Police posted surveillance video of the suspect on their Facebook page.

Gacutan was remanded to the county jail with bail set at $200,000 cash.
