Residents upset over hate messages in Lumberton

LUMBERTON, N.J. - October 9, 2013 (WPVI) -- Some Burlington County residents are livid over a message of hate being spread to their homes.

People across Lumberton found racist and anti-gay fliers in their yards this past weekend.

They appear to come from the group calling itself "Advanced White Society."

Its leader told Action News late Wednesday afternoon that the fliers are factual, not hateful.

Jason Hiecke also says he is not trying to start any trouble.

But many residents are still worried.

Police say they can't do anything because the fliers do not target individuals.
