NORTHAMPTON TWP., Pa. - October 12, 2013 (WPVI) -- The murder of a Bucks County attorney is still unsolved and a reward of more than $20,000 is now being offered in the case.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2009, Eric Birnbaum's day started like any other.
At about 9:00 a.m., the 51-year-old personal injury lawyer arrived to work at the law offices of Terry Goldberg and Associates in the Gateway Shopping Center in Northampton Township, Bucks County.
That's when things went terribly wrong.
"He's getting out of the car, he's going to work and somebody comes up behind him and shoots him in the head," said John Apeldorn, Citizens Crime Commision.
Detectives have a vague description of the suspect and the vehicle he may have fled in.
"They do see a 99 Voyager painted blue, that vehicle leaves the lot at a high rate of speed and goes southbound on Buck Road. That's all we know about it, somebody else tells us it's a male wearing a ski mask and sunglasses," said Apeldorn.
Birnbaum left behind two daughters.
The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $20,500 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
"We're hoping today that we jar somebody's mind and they come forward with the information and we can solve the crime," said Apeldorn.
All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
