The casino floor of one Atlantic City gambling hall is getting a $5.6 million makeover.

Bally's Atlantic City began a renovation Tuesday that will include new carpeting, decorations and chairs, and reconfigured slot machines and table games.

The project will unfold in three phases and will be completed by February.

Walls will be repainted, pillars will be redone and mirrored catwalks will get a new look as well.

The project is the first major renovation at Bally's since a $60 million makeover of one of its four hotel towers in 2008.

Over the first nine months of this year, Bally's has won $192.6 million from gamblers, ranking it fifth out of Atlantic City's 12 casinos.
