Off-duty Allentown police officer was drunk, violent, neighbors say
Wednesday, October 16, 2013
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - October 16, 2013 (WPVI) -- A member of the Allentown police force is at the center of two investigations.
Both stem from an incident three weeks ago at 12th and Chew Streets.
Witnesses claim the off-duty officer was intoxicated when he left Candida's Bar, and that he damaged an air conditioning unit and broke a car window on his way home.
The witnesses say the officer returned later, assaulted a bar patron and used racial slurs.
Neighbors want this addressed.
No charges have been filed so far, as the criminal and internal affairs investigations continue.
