Elsmere home invasion

A precautionary lockdown at two schools in Elsmere, Delaware has been lifted as police continue their search for a suspect following an armed home invasion.

The home invasion was reported around 2:00 p.m. in the unit block of Bunglow Avenue.

Police have one suspect in custody, but are continuing their search for a second man. He is described as having olive skin and wearing black and camouflage pants.

At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun during the home invasion.

The active police presence in the area prompted the temporary lockdown of Baltz Elementary and All Saints Catholic Elementary School. Both are now reopened.
