Mom stabs son in the head, Wilmington police say

Police have arrested a woman for allegedly stabbing her son in the head in Wilmington, Delaware Saturday.

The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. in the unit block of Mary Ella Drive in the Silver Springs Apartment complex.

Officers arrived to the apartment to find a 25-year-old man stabbed in the head and shoulder.

The victim allegedly told police he had been arguing with his mother, 48-year-old Luray Robinson when she stabbed him with a knife.

Medics treated the man at the scene before taking him to the Christiana Hospital for his wounds.

So far, there is no word on his condition.

Robinson was taken into custody without incident.

She was charged with assault in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $ 80,000 cash bail.
