Philadelphia snow emergency ends, PPA says limited ticketing Friday

The snow emergency that had been in effect for Philadelphia since Wednesday night ended at 2 p.m. Friday.

In addition, the Philadelphia Parking Authority announced that it will only enforce safety violations on Friday.

Meters, kiosks and timed zones will not be enforced Friday, the PPA said.

However, all parking regulations will be enforced beginning Saturday at 7 a.m.. This includes meters, kiosks and times zones.

Towing and impoundment of illegally parked vehicles in Tow Away Zones will resume Saturday morning as well.

All parking regulations will be enforced on Sunday and Monday (Presidents Day) including towing of vehicles parked in tow zones.

The $5.00 snow rate in PPA garages will end tomorrow morning Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

PPA impoundment lots will reopen Saturday at for their normal hours.
