NEW YORK -- The NYPD is looking for three suspects who rob drivers after telling them they have a flat tire, and officials are hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.
Police say while the victims inspect their tires, the suspects remove items from inside the car.
The suspects have struck at least a dozen times, all in Queens. The lastest robbery occurred last Thursday, with the scheme dating back to August 9 of last year.
In many of the cases, the victims were coming out of banks when the suspects approached them.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
