Blowtorch Bandit Foiled

Friday, February 17, 2006

A robbery attempt came down to a blowtorch versus a plastic chair at a California gas station.

A surveillance camera captured the crook wielding a blow torch, demanding money from the cashier.

The cashier got a stick and began striking the suspect with it. The suspect attempted to fight back using the blowtorch, but the clerk drove him out of the store where the fight continued.

The suspect threw the blowtorch at the clerk and missed. Then, the clerk picked up a plastic chair, and drove the leg of the chair into the front windshield of the suspect's car, but the suspect still managed to get away.
