What's hot this fall in fashion
WAYNE, Pa. - October 6, 2011 (WPVI) -- We've got what's hot and the must have pieces that should be a part of your seasonal wardrobe.
"You want to start with your basics so you should probably start with a pair of colored denim," explained fashion expert Jennifer Guggenheim.
Guggenheim said the trend of the summer is sticking around, but this time, darker, richer colors are in, like Bordeaux.
"Everyone should have a piece of Bordeaux and a charcoal and a navy," she said.
Another fashion trend, is by no means a new one, color blocking is back with a bang.
"You can color block with your accessories, handbags, shoes, you can color block with sweaters," she said.
Another thing we love about fall is outerwear. This season add some animal appeal to your look in the form of a vest, or an infinity scarf without the guilt by using faux fur.
We were also happy to see the timeless and universally chic cloche hat is also making a comeback.
And for that perfect statement piece, go for the bold when searching for the perfect bag. Red is the new neutral and can be paired with anything.
And as far as shoes, the motorcycle mid-calf boot is edgy and cool, the loafer is comfy and casual, wedges are still here and so is the always classic, always sexy knee boot.
"If you have a great wedge, a great loafer and a great pair of boots, you are done for the whole season," Jennifer said.
We have a couple style tips for men as well. Anything collegiate, cardigans, letterman jackets are all the rage. Plus cuffed pants with socks on display are big this year. And yes that colored denim trend is also for men.
