PHILADELPHIA - April 17, 2009 - (WPVI) -- As first told on 6abc.com, an agreement has been reached for the Eagles to acquire Jason Peters from the Buffalo Bills.
The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have acquired LT Jason Peters from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a first round draft pick (28th overall) in 2009, a fourth round draft pick (121st overall) in 2009, and an undisclosed late round draft pick in 2010.
Peters is a two time Pro Bowl selection (2007, 2008).
Peters is a premier left tackle, who would fill a major hole on the Birds' offensive line.
The Eagles have also announced they have signed the 6-4, 340-pound Peters to a six-year contract that will keep him in Philadelphia through 2014.
