Two guys who are ready to go from the Big 5 to the big time in the NBA.

When Dante Cunningham tearfully traipsed up the ramp after his Wildcats were eliminated in the Final 4, it marked the end of his college career.

Tomorrow night's NBA draft should signify the beginning of his professional one.

"Being at this point, you work so hard and you've been through the last couple weeks, traveling at a new city the last couple days, you're definitely anxious, excited to see what's going to happen," Cunningham said.

The former Villanova forward has worked out for 9 teams, and is projected to go in the mid-late second round.

Across town, former Temple star Dionte Christmas spent today working off some nervous energy. After all, he has the same aspirations.

"I'm just going to be happy to be in the NBA, and as I've said before, I just want to hear my named called," Christmas said.

Dionte's agent told me he expects to go somewhere in the second round. He's worked for 20 teams, including the Charlotte Bobcats twice and that's because one of their part owners asked him to come back, a guy by the name of Michael Jordan.

"It was crazy. He popped up in the gym and everybody just lit up because you hear stories about Michael, but to see him there, hands on watching us, and at the end of the workout, he was talking to us, shooting around with us, and joking around," Christmas said.

Speaking of crazy, expect tomorrow night to be just that for both Dionte and Dante.

Their future is now.
