Police search for Phillies party vandals

PHILADELPHIA - October 30, 2008 (WPVI) -- Police are hoping to get help from the public in finding some of the people responsible for Wednesday's vandalism.

Ted Passon's car is a mangled mess of shattered glass and dents. He, like thousands of other Phillies fans, was celebrating on Broad Street Wednesday night.

Drunk revelers left a path of destruction along Broad.

Marble planters were turned over, bus stop shelters destroyed, and storefront windows smashed.

Robinson's Luggage was one of several stores looted.

"I think everyone should be outraged. I know I'm outraged as lifelong Philadelphian," Captain Mike Costello of the Philadelphia Police said.

Police have already made more than 75 arrests for various offenses, but they're now asking the public to come forward with tips.

Video and pictures of the civil unrest are all over 6abc.com, YouTube and other various websites.

"There's numerous private videos out there, whether they are off of cell phone cameras or things of that nature, we're asking anyone in possession of that to come forward," Captain Costello said.

As for Ted Passon, times are tough for the freelance film producer. His car is busted up, but he too is turning to the web and trying to get donations through his website of phillyfixmycar.blogspot.com
