Thibodeau doesn't expect fine for comments

Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau does not expect to get fined for his comments after Tuesday night's loss to the Indiana Pacers.

With under 10 seconds left in the game, Luol Deng drove for a shot over Pacers center Roy Hibbert. There was contact but the officials decided not to blow their whistles as Deng lost the ball and the Pacers recovered and iced the game. Thibodeau was incensed by the call and screamed on the sidelines.

"In my eyes, he got wiped out," Thibodeau said after the game. "I did not get an explanation. He had a layup. It was a train wreck."

After reviewing the play, Thibodeau took a different tone.

"It's an interpretation play," Thibodeau said. "It was a tough play, it was bang-bang. I thought with vertically, it's straight up, and so it's a judgment call. It went against us. We got to move on."

Thibodeau did not disclose whether he discussed the play with league officials.

"I didn't think it was the officials," he said. "It was a tough play, it's a bang-bang. It could go either way and it went against us."
