September 19, 2012 (WPVI) -- The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012 preseason schedule through Sept. 30.
"The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL," the NHL statement read.
The three Philadelphia Flyers games affected are: September 25th vs. Chicago Blackhawks, September 26th vs. Toronto Maple Leafs, and September 29th vs. New York Rangers.
The Flyers next scheduled preseason game is October 1st vs. the New Jersey Devils in Philadelphia.
