Bank holdup fugitive caught in Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. - June 11, 2008 (WPVI) -- A tip lead police to a suspect wanted for robbing a bank in Florida.

The Camden County Prosecutors office was informed that a bank robbery suspect wanted in Miami might be in Camden staying on the 400 block of Haddon Ave.

When investigators went out to the block they spotted him on the street. He ran into a home at 441 Haddon Ave.

The SWAT team was called to the scene and they set up a negotiation team.

The suspect cot out onto the roof of the home, but police were later able to capture him.

The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
