One shot in Port Richmond

A man is recovering from a shooting after gunfire erupted in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 1:00 p.m.

Police were called to the 2100 block of East Commissioner Street in North Philadelphia.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 20s suffering from a gun shot wound to the upper leg.

He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in stable condition.

There is no word on any suspects.
