Police are looking for the man who robbed a teenage girl at gunpoint while she was walking to school.

It happened around 8:00 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Industrial Park Drive in Yeadon, Pa.

Police say the 16-year-old girl was walking from her home to school when she was confronted by a man with a gun.

Investigators say the man led the girl behind a business and robbed her of several items.

The girl had to struggle to get away. Once free she flagged down a passing driver in the 400 block of Baily Road.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 18-23 years old, 5'8" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black ¾ length jacket with red sleeves, tan pants and black sneakers. He also had a black backpack with white striping.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Yeadon Police Department's Detective Division at 610-259-1228.
