IT Technician
WPVI-TV is seeking a Management Information Systems professional; an individual with a solid technical background in the installation, maintenance, and support of numerous types of systems, Including: Windows file/print/email, servers, workstations and basic infrastructure system.
The ideal candidate will have several years' experience providing IT and Engineering support in a broadcast environment with preferred experience with hands-on understanding of News and Master Control/On-Air support at a medium to large market television station.
Candidate must have a proven ability in diagnosing complex systems and be able to identify, troubleshoot and remedy critical on and off-air issues. Excellent communication skills are essential to understand users' requirements and provide training on new systems. Project management experience is desired. A preferred understanding of newsroom computer systems (ENPS), server-based digital video and audio, non-linear editing (Grass Valley), automation, graphics, and their associated software and hardware infrastructure, helpful. Executive Producer, Programming
WPVI-TV/6abc, an ABC owned station, is looking for a talented Executive Producer with strong television programming skills to oversee original television production by the station. Responsibilities include supervision of the entire production process from treatment to final delivery of original programs for the station. The programs include but are not limited to a weekly entertainment show as well as live productions and specials throughout the year. This position is hands-on and would include writing scripts and reviewing other producers' scripts, setting up production schedules, supervising the editing of the programs of all assigned shows.
