April 28, 2013 (WPVI) -- It seems like sports equipment takes up so much space, I have some ideas to help you store it when it's not in use.
Look up - to see if you have exposed joists in your basement or garage. If you do, install a wire rack intended for a closet across the joists.
These racks will serve two purposes. One, you can slip lacrosse sticks, bats or other long, flat equipment onto the racks.
Second, you can hang uniforms, pads or other equipment from hangers underneath.
To store baseball hats, slip clip style drapery hooks on to a hanger. Clip the back of the hats and line them up along the hanger. Hang it on the rack.
To store balls, grab some bungee cords. Zig zag bungees back and forth across a shelf or shelving unit.
The bungees will create a convenient corral for the balls that will keep them in place, easy viewable and easy to get at!
Easy storage for sports equipment. Try it, I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
