Falling Cabinet Causes Six Vehicle Crash

An unusual accident involving six vehicles left five people in the hospital on Thursday night.

Four of the people suffered serious injuries in the accident on the Route 1 Superhighway in Bucks County.

Investigators said a kitchen cabinet fell off a pick-up truck causing the accident around 6:00 p.m. near Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.

The falling cabinet caused six vehicles to crash in the northbound lanes.

Five people were taken to area hospitals A 16-year-old girl is among the victims.

The accident forced a closure of the northbound lanes of the highway for nearly two hours.
