Falling Cabinet Causes Six Vehicle Crash

MIDDLETOWN TWP., Pa. - July 26, 2007 (WPVI) -- An unusual accident involving six vehicles left five people in the hospital on Thursday night.

Four of the people suffered serious injuries in the accident on the Route 1 Superhighway in Bucks County.

Investigators said a kitchen cabinet fell off a pick-up truck causing the accident around 6:00 p.m. near Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.

The falling cabinet caused six vehicles to crash in the northbound lanes.

Five people were taken to area hospitals A 16-year-old girl is among the victims.

The accident forced a closure of the northbound lanes of the highway for nearly two hours.
