I-295 repoens after crash, hit pedestrian

I-295 - September 26, 2008 (WPVI) -- An accident involving a pedestrian had closed part of I-295 in New Jersey.

Authorities tell Action News that a tractor trailer and a car collided on that section of I-295 in New Jersey between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. A person who stopped to get out and help at the accident scene was then struck by another vehicle.

I-295 is closed northbound between Route 73 and Route 38.

Drivers were advised to take the N.J. Turnpike as a detour.

There's no word on the condition of the pedestrian.

The northbound lanes of I-295 reopened shortly after 8:15 a.m.
