July 23, 2008 (WPVI) -- Firefighters believe a jolt from above sparked a huge fire in Delaware.
The fire hit in Mariners Watch in Bear, Delaware overnight.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire according to emergency teams that responded to the scene.
A state fire marshal will try to confirm a lightning strike as the cause of the blaze.
The Action Cam was on the scene of a house fire in Gloucester Township, Camden County. That fire also appears to have been sparked by a lightning strike. It happened in the 100 block of New Brooklyn Road around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday. Heavy smoke was coming from the 2-story home when firefighters arrived. Luckily, no injuries are reported.
Also in New Jersey, in Carney's Point, lightning appears to have struck the steeple of the Assembly of God Church in the 300 block of Georgetown Road. The steeple is a loss, but firefighters managed to stop the flames from spreading to the main church building.
In Philadelphia's Spring Garden section, downed wires sparked a fire at 23rd and Wallace streets. A police car is securing the scene until PECO crews can get there to assess and repair the damage.
The bad weather during the morning commute was also responsible for several accidents. You can get the latest Philadelphia traffic updates by Clicking Here.
