KITE FESTIVAL: Wildwood, N.J.

A rainbow of color dancing in the sky advertises what is called the largest kite festival in North America!

Head down to Wildwood, at the beach and Rio Grande Avenue or inside the convention center, for some fun.

The weekend festivities kick off with an illuminated night kite fly on Friday. Then watch the pros fly colorful creations or check out cool workshops and exhibits all weekend long.

BARKS ON THE BOARDS: Ocean City, N.J.

On Sunday you and your four-legged friend can walk together, during 'Barks on the Boards' in Ocean City.

This annual event raises money for the local humane society. But remember: your dog must be registered in order to participate.

This year registration takes place at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the Civic Center practice field. The leisurely stroll starts at noon with a canine contest to follow, along with raffles and free giveaways!

SUNSET PARADE: Cape May, N.J.

Round out the weekend with a Sunset Parade at the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May.

A special tribute will honor the men and women who fight for our freedom. Watch an inspiring military ceremony featuring a drill team, marching troops and a helicopter fly-over.
