Mike Dunston

Mike Dunston anchors the weekend evening editions of Eyewitness News with Shae Crisson.

During the week, he's assigned to the Raleigh Eyewitness News Center covering Wake County and surrounding areas. You can catch him on Eyewitness News at 11pm.

He's traveled around the country covering floods, hurricanes, the vice-presidential campaign of Sen. John Edwards, political conventions, and the inaugurations of Presidents Clinton and Bush.

Mike started his career at WHIO in Dayton, Ohio, covering city hall and consumer issues. At WUSA and WTTG in Washington D.C., he reported on Supreme Court cases and various national protests. Mike hosted a weekly adoption segment at KHOU in Houston. The goal was to put the spotlight on children; moving them from foster care to permanent homes.

For several years, Mike has volunteered his time as a student instructor for the NABJ Short Course at North Carolina A&T University.

He's a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park.
