Steve Stewart

Steve joined ABC11 in the Spring of 2006. Steve does our weekend morning shows and is responsible for the weather graphics here at the WTVD.

Steve started his career when he was just 19 years old at KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado. After a stop in Sioux Falls, Denver and Colorado Springs, Steve became the Chief Meteorologist at KEYT-TV(ABC) in Santa Barbara, California. There he met his wife Debbie and had two children... Steven & Emma.

Since moving to Raleigh in 2004, the Stewarts added one more to the family. Joey was born on October 24th, 2005 at Rex Hospital.

Steve has been awarded the AMS Seal of Approval and is well known in the TV meteorology community as the best weather graphics person in the nation. He also use to be a professional comedian in Denver while he was finishing Meteorology school.
