Jennifer Kovaleski joined the ABC11 Eyewitness News team as a digital journalist in September 2009. Jennifer comes to the Triangle from Columbia, Missouri, where she served as a multi-platform reporter and anchor for KOMU-TV8. She worked at KOMU-TV8 for four years. During her time there she learned every aspect of the newsroom by holding a variety of positions. Jennifer began working on the assignment desk, but ended up working as a reporter, anchor, photojournalist, and web reporter.
Jennifer graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism with a degree in broadcast and a minor in business. During her time in Missouri she also contributed to the local NPR affiliate, KBIA-FM.
Jennifer has a passion for reporting and digging for answers. She enjoys using multi-platforms to tell stories. What she loves most about her job is the ability to learn something new every day and tell stories that bring change and impact people's lives.
Jennifer grew up in states all around the country. She was born in Reno, Nevada. She then moved with her family to California, Arizona, and Texas before they settled in the place she calls home -- Denver, Colorado. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
