New Reward for Clues on Missing Woman

Tuesday, March 14, 2006

The family of a missing Lee County woman is hoping that a big reward will help bring her back safely.

Authorities believe Michelle Bullard was kidnapped during a violent home invasion on January 2. Her family announced Saturday that they are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the woman. They say they are not giving up hope.

"We know somebody out there knows something," said Amanda Cristello, Bullard's cousin. "If they can't come forward out of the goodness of their heart, maybe they'll come forward to collect the reward money."

Karen Riojas, Bullard's mother, offered a personal plea.

"You can remain anonymous. You do not have to tell your name," she said. "Michelle, if you can hear me, we love you. We miss you, and we need you back home, baby. I'm not going to let this go."

Volunteers on horses searched for clues in Bullard's disappearance Saturday in Harnett County. Some of her personal belongings have been found in Cumberland County in recent weeks.
