RALEIGH (WTVD) -- An US Airways flight leaving RDU Thursday to Philadelphia, had to turn back.
US Airways flight 1238 left the Raleigh-Durham International Airport on a flight to Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon. Sources tell Eyewitness News the pilot reported a hydraulic problem just 6 minutes into the flight.
The plane, an Airbus A-319, returned and landed without incident.
The recent US Airways splash landing in New York was a nearly identical plane, an Airbus A-320 and coincidentally it too was in flight just a few minutes.
