DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham Public Schools has settled its lawsuit with a teacher.
The district has agreed to pay Wendell Tabb, a drama teacher at Hillside High School, $75,000. The settlement comes a week before the case was scheduled to go to court.
Tabb sued the district in 2005 after a school therapist taped his 9-year-old son's mouth shut. The incident allegedly took place during a class designed to help special needs students with their coursework.
