Local baseball star injured in crash

  

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A local star baseball player is in serious condition after a fatal car crash.

Shaw University says Edgar Huff was hurt when a suspected drunk driver hit his car outside Greenville Tuesday night. The driver of the car died as a result of the crash.

Pitt County Memorial Hospital says Huff is currently in fair condition.

Huff, a native of Hubert, N.C., is a right handed pitcher for Shaw University. He is scheduled to graduate on Saturday.
