WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- An early morning downpour may be responsible for several incidents across the Triangle Thursday morning.
Several vehicles were left upside down.
Raleigh officers responded to a call about a minivan that hydroplaned through several front yards before running into a house on Cross Link Road. The van ended up on two wheels after destroying one house's porch and ripping brick from the home.
No one was seriously injured.
In a second incident, a car slid off of Wade Ave. near the RBC.
And in Garner, wet roads may have caused a car to come to rest with its wheels up near Yergen Road. In that wreck, authorities appeared to be investigating whether something else played a role in the crash.
The driver was taken into custody.
The weather is expected to continue to be a factor today.
"A front along with some upper level energy will likely spawn more scattered showers and storms," Meteorologist Steve Stewart said. "The better chances for rain will be the farther east you live."
Thursday will have more clouds and showers so temperatures are expected to be cooler in the upper 80s.
However, things are expected to turn around by the start of the weekend.
"Skies are expected to brighten on Friday into Saturday as chances for rain decrease markedly," Stewart said. "Temperatures will respond back up into the low 90s both Friday and Saturday."
