Lottery launches $20 ticket

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- North Carolina Education Lottery officials announced Friday that scratch-off players will soon have a $20 ticket option.

A new game called "$200 Million Extravaganza" will be in stores beginning Tuesday, October 6th.

Prizes in the game total $200 million - including five $3 million top prizes and ten $1 million prizes.

While the $20 price is the most expensive of any scratch-off game, lottery officials say players have the best chance of winning something - approximately 1 in 2.65.

It's also the highest payout of any scratch-off game sold in North Carolina to date.
