Man charged with biting off ear

CARTERET COUNTY, NC (WTVD) -- A Clinton man is charged with biting off another man's ear during an argument.

Carteret County Sheriff's deputies arrested 25-year-old David Bryant Turner Sunday.

The men worked together on a shrimp boat that was docked at Radio Island. The 63-year-old victim said he allowed Turner to stay with him on the boat.

The men got into an argument Sunday evening and that's when the victim said Turner bit off the lower part of his ear.

Turner is charged with felony maiming of the ear. He is being held in the Cateret County Jail under a $25,000 bond.
