FORT BRAGG (WTVD) -- The Department of Defense announced the death of a Fort Bragg soldier Monday.
Pfc. Lukas C. Hopper, 20, of Merced, Calif., died Friday in southeast of Karadah, Iraq, from injuries he sustained during a vehicle roll-over.
Officials say he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Hopper was in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation. No other details have been released.
