Hope Mills man dies in fire

  

HOPE MILLS (WTVD) -- A Cumberland County man who was killed Friday is the second person to die in a house fire in the last 24 hours.

The Hope Mills Fire Department told ABC11 Eyewitness News the victim was in his mobile home on Crookneck Dr. when the fire started.

Someone reported the fire just after 1 a.m. Authorities have not released the victim's name. He was found in a bedroom.

Investigators believe a mechanical failure caused the fire.
